In the early hours of Saturday, 12 October, police were called at around 02:30am to reports of a man with a stab wound in Station Road, Harrow.
The man, believed to be in his 30s, was taken to hospital where he remains. This morning (Sunday, 13 October), police confirmed that while his injuries are serious, they are not life-threatening. He continues to receive treatment.

A crime scene was established, and two men, aged 29 and 32, have been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH). They remain in custody while investigations are ongoing.
The incident has left the Harrow community in shock, with many taking to social media to express their concerns:
Raj Mistry: “Very sad to see this, not sure what happened apart from reading the comments. We can all blame the Government or the Police. But reality is it we are all responsible it’s our city and community. Saying this this (has) been happening for years not a new thing.”

Sunit Patel: “It will continue the next day it could be you, the government you lot voted for don’t care about inner city violence neither are they bothered about families that have lost loved ones through this turmoil, especially with knives. The last government promised but just were bothered about filling their pockets, and this government is the same.. this will continue, to happen to people. It’s not the parents fault it’s our society.”

Jason P: “What I don’t understand is why this is not being dealt with as a matter of priority? We need more police on the streets and we need tougher laws on knife crime. It feels as if this is happening weekly and it’s not right. It’s not the Harrow I know and grew up in.”

Police cordons were lifted at around 12:30pm yesterday afternoon and Harrow Online awaits further updates.
