Harrow MPS have reported an arrest in Lowlands Recreation Ground, where officers detained a suspect carrying a knife and drugs.
This news comes just over a week after a woman was raped in the same park.
In a statement shared via social media, Harrow MPS said: “Officers from Greenhill were patrolling in Lowlands Recreation Ground and saw a suspect who ran towards Jubilee Academy upon noticing police. PC Stewart pursued him, and he was stopped and searched under S.23 Misuse of Drugs Act.
“Officers discovered a black KUKRI blade that the suspect had discarded nearby, which resulted in the male being arrested for possession of a bladed article.
“During the search, cannabis was also found on the male. After an interview, the case was escalated to charges for weapon possession and class B drugs.
“Great result, with another knife being taken off the streets.”
