This Halloween, Southeastern invites customers to board the “Ghost Train” to Pluckley, known as the most haunted place in the UK. The journey from Charing Cross, set for Thursday, 31 October, will include Halloween-themed games curated by Toyologist Peter Jenkinson and board game experts.
Onboard, passengers will have access to a range of Halloween games for all ages, including Ghosts Can’t Draw, Ghost Blitz, EXIT Games, Pacmac Quoridor, the THING, Creatures and Outcasts, Zombie Burrito, and Mega Horror House. Participants in the games will be allowed to take them home.
A carved pumpkin featuring the Southeastern logo and a #ghosttrain decal on the windows will add to the atmosphere, creating opportunities for photos. Costumed game experts and a storyteller will complete the experience with tales of Halloween.
Toy expert Peter Jenkinson said, “What a great way to enjoy Halloween, hands-on with appropriately themed games for this increasingly popular celebration. We’re always striving to get more people playing together more often in the toy business and this trip gives us yet another great excuse in an amazing and immersive environment to enjoy the experience fully.”
Matt Hawken, Area Manager at Southeastern, said, “We’re thrilled to offer our customers a unique and thrilling experience this Halloween with our Ghost Train to Pluckley. It’s a fantastic opportunity to collaborate with games companies and enjoy some spooky games and create unforgettable memories. We can’t wait to see everyone in their Halloween best!”
He added, “This is all part of our efforts to make it even easier for customers in London, Kent and parts of Sussex to leave the car at home and use the train.”
Becky McKinlay, Head of Marketing at Big Potato, said, “We’re delighted to be part of this on-board experience, anything that gets more people having fun together is a massive tick for us.”
