A fire has broken out on Milton Road in Wealdstone, near the former Harrow Civic Centre, with London Fire Brigade currently on scene.
Firefighters are gaining access through alleyways connected to properties on Blawith Road as they work to control the blaze.
A spokesperson for London Fire Brigade said, “Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a fire at a building under construction on Milton Road in Harrow.
“A small part of the roof was damaged by the fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
“One of the Brigade’s 32-metre turntable ladders was used at the scene as an observation tower to help fight the fire from above.
“Control Officers took the first of 10 calls at 1847 and mobilised crews from Harrow, Stanmore and Northolt fire stations to the scene. The incident was over for firefighters at 2030.
“The fire is believed to have been accidental and caused by hot works taking place.”
