High school in Stanmore announces new collaboration with WildHearts and Nestlé

Park High School has announced a new collaboration with WildHearts and Nestlé as part of its Student Leadership Programme.

The school, based in Stanmore, Harrow, recently hosted an Insight into Industry day, bringing together students from three other schools. The event featured senior leaders from Nestlé and WildHearts, as well as students from the Nestlé Academy, who shared experiences from their degree-level apprenticeships. Together, they worked on real business challenges faced by Nestlé.

CEO of WildHearts, Dr Mick Jackson, joined the event, commending the students’ engagement and enthusiasm. The WildHearts Schools Partnership organises events across the UK to empower students from diverse backgrounds. Dr Jackson’s involvement highlighted the goal of fostering leadership and innovation among the students.

We want to inspire the leaders our world deserves by making it real for our students while on their learning journey here at Park High School.”

During the event, students participated in a Q&A session with Nestlé visitors, exploring career paths in engineering, finance, marketing, business, sustainability, packaging, and product design. They were inspired by personal stories shared by graduates from the Nestlé Graduate Programme and gained insights into careers in the food and beverage industry.

Danut, Year 11 student, said: “The Nestlé and WildHearts event was a wonderful opportunity to develop new skills in areas like Business and Economics. As a Vocational Engineering student, I found it incredibly valuable to apply my knowledge and expand my experience across different fields. It was a privilege to meet the CEO and interact with staff, learning how their skills help them in their careers.”
