Remembrance Sunday is a time to honour those in the armed forces who gave their lives for our freedoms. Each year, Harrow holds a parade where people can lay wreaths and pay their respects.
This years main service will take place in Harrow Town Centre. Other services will also take place in the borough, including in Pinner, and Edgware on Sunday, 10 November.
Temporary road closures will be in place to facilitate the events, affecting High Street, Pinner; High Street, Edgware; and Station Road, Harrow.
The following closures are expected:
• High Street, Pinner: Closed from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm between Grange Gardens and Bridge Street. No parking, waiting, or loading allowed within this area.
• High Street, Edgware: Closed from 7:30 am to 1:30 pm between Whitchurch Lane and Canons Drive. No parking, waiting, or loading allowed in this area.
• Station Road, Harrow: Parade route closure from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Restrictions include no entry, exit, or left turns into Station Road from College Road, and no parking, waiting, or loading on Station Road between College Road and Greenhill Way.
Similar restrictions apply to Havelock Place and portions of Greenhill Way Car Park.
All are encouraged to pause at 11:00 am to honour those in the armed forces who gave their lives in service.
