A new home care provider, SureCare Brent and Barnet, has launched, creating over 30 jobs for local residents. The company, founded by healthcare professionals Nirav Patel and Fiona Matei, operates from Staples Corner near Brent Cross Shopping Centre.
SureCare Brent and Barnet recently secured registration with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), meeting the required standards for care services.
Nirav and Fiona have over 15 years of experience in healthcare, particularly in the personal injury industry, where they provided support to insurance companies and solicitors. The move into home care was driven by demand from existing clients seeking domiciliary care services.
Nirav Patel said, “We were receiving numerous enquiries from clients regarding home care, which prompted us to explore the possibility of establishing a service in this area.
“While we initially considered going it alone, we soon recognised the value of aligning with an established brand like SureCare. Their expertise in regulation and compliance, particularly around securing CQC accreditation, has been invaluable.”
Abigail Golding has been appointed as Registered Manager to oversee operations. She has over a decade of experience in the care sector, with roles as a care worker and care coordinator. Abigail has helped train a team of 30 care workers to meet the needs of individuals across Brent and Barnet.

Fiona Matei added, “Abigail and I have been working hard to put the right systems in place and have been actively engaging with local charities and community groups. Our aim is to establish SureCare Brent and Barnet as the leading provider of person-centred care in the area.”
SureCare Brent and Barnet will offer various home care services, including live-in care and support for individuals with long-term disabilities. These services will be available to private clients and referrals from local authorities.
Gary Farrer, Managing Director of SureCare, said, “We’re delighted to have Nirav and Fiona as our franchisees for Brent and Barnet.
“We were impressed with their passion to deliver home care services of the highest quality to people in their area.”
