The incident took place around 5.30pm on Monday, 11 November. A teenage boy was walking towards an underpass near the junction of Peace Drive and Cassiobury Drive when a group of males, reportedly wearing balaclavas, approached him. They allegedly threatened him and took his headphones and Oyster card.
The victim left the scene and contacted police. Officers, working with CCTV operators, located and arrested four males on suspicion of robbery at the Lower High Street train station. The suspects, two aged 17 and two aged 18, remain in police custody.
Watford Neighbourhood Inspector Dan Jones said: “This was understandably a frightening incident for the victim and we will continue to support him.
“I appreciate the nature of this incident is concerning and we will be increasing our patrols in the area. If anyone has any information that could help progress our enquiries, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.”
