Harrow Council launches parking consultation for Headstone Drive and Harrow View area

Harrow Council is consulting residents and businesses on a proposed Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) for the Headstone Drive and Harrow View area. The consultation will run until 23:59 on Sunday, 24 November 2024.

Residents on the affected roads, including Albert Road, Pinner Park Avenue, and Sidney Road, can share their views on two CPZ options: operating Monday to Friday from either 10am to 3pm or 8am to 6:30pm. Saturday controls are also under consideration.

This consultation follows petitions in 2022 and 2023 requesting measures to address issues such as non-residential parking, visitor parking for local businesses, and vehicles from surrounding CPZs avoiding permit fees.

The council aims to improve parking access for residents and manage any future impact from the Eastman Village development, which is set to add 2,000 new homes and commercial spaces to the area.

Residents and businesses can submit responses online or request a paper copy by contacting transportation@harrow.gov.uk. Parking permit charges, based on vehicle emissions, apply in all CPZs. Responses must include a name and address to be officially recorded.

Further details, including a proposal map and consultation leaflet, are available online.
