Roadworks have begun today on Bolton Road in Harrow with a road closure in place.
Bolton Road, which connects Harrow View to Pinner Road, is frequently used as a shortcut by local drivers.
The works, carried out by Thames Water, are scheduled to last for three weeks, ending on 6 December.
Delays are expected in the area, and motorists are advised to plan alternative routes where possible.
