Wembley Park will host a variety of festive events this winter, bringing a global celebration to North West London. From music to markets, the area offers a mix of free events for all ages.
On Saturday 7 December, Wembley Park’s Sound Shell will feature “A Global Christmas: A Thousand Years of Festive Music Through Cultures and Time”. The free open-air concert runs from 1pm to 6pm on Olympic Way. Performances will include a mix of global musical traditions, from Caribbean steel pans to Victorian brass quartets. Visitors are encouraged to arrive early.
Starting the same day, the Wembley Park Festive Markets will open in Market Square, running over three weekends in December. The market will feature over 100 traders offering gifts, international foods, and seasonal treats.
Visitors can expect products like South American alpaca crafts, African textiles, and Italian truffles. Food stalls will offer Caribbean, Hungarian, German, and other cuisines. The market will be open from 10am to 7pm on 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, and 22 December.
For children, the “Festive Fun: A Merry Celebration for Young Ones” will take place at the Fresh Arts community hub on 7 December. The free event includes arts and crafts, games, and a disco. Spaces are limited to 50 children, and early booking is recommended.
Wembley Park’s Art Trail will see new additions this season. Yesterday, 27 November, a 3D art installation called “Trialogue” by Greenaway & Greenaway opened in Arena Square, repurposing three traditional red phone boxes. From 3 December, the “From Saint to Santa” exhibition will return, exploring the evolution of Santa Claus through 32 artworks.

Other highlights include a 15-metre Christmas tree in Market Square and festive lights at the London Designer Outlet. Father Christmas will visit the outlet each weekend in December, and children can participate in a colouring competition or a winter trail.
For live entertainment, BOXPARK Wembley will host “Best Served Cold: The Festive Throwback” on 14 December, featuring performances from Lemar, Blazin’ Squad, and others. The OVO Arena Wembley will showcase a live cine-concert of The Nightmare Before Christmas, and Starlight Express will run at the Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre throughout the season.
“Winter in Wembley Park is such a wonderful time of year. The neighbourhood is awash with festive attractions from free concerts to children’s celebrations, art installations and seasonal treats at the festive markets, ensuring that every resident and visitor can make cherished memories at Wembley Park this season,” said Claudio Giambrone, Head of Cultural Programming at Wembley Park.
