Three men have been arrested and drugs seized following police action in response to concerns about alleged cuckooing.
Cuckooing is a tactic where criminals groom a vulnerable person to take over their home for criminal activities.
Acting on intelligence, officers from the Watford Operation Scorpion team, along with colleagues from the Neighbourhood Policing Team, attended a property in Rosslyn Road early this morning (Thursday 28 November).
Inside the property, officers found more than 50 wraps of suspected Class A drugs and scales.
A 51-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs. A 48-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs. A 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being in possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.
All three men are currently in police custody.
Inspector Dan Jones, from the Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “Cuckooing has serious consequences for victims and the local area surrounding a cuckooed address. If you have any concerns about criminality in your local area, please report it to police. If you wish to remain anonymous, you can report information via the independent charity Crimestoppers.”
You can report information online at herts.police.uk/report, speak to an operator in the Force Communications Room via the online web chat at herts.police.uk/contact, or call the non-emergency number 101.
Alternatively, you can remain anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or through their untraceable online form at crimestoppers-uk.org.
