A social media post about knife arches installed at St George’s Shopping Centre in Harrow Town Centre has been viewed nearly 400,000 times on the platform X, formerly known as Twitter.
Harrow Online recently reported on the installation of the arches, which were placed to deter crime and identify individuals carrying weapons.
Political commentator Alex Armstrong, often on GB News, shared a post on X that said: “The local shopping centre in the London borough I was born in, Harrow, has now had to install knife detectors at its entrance.
“My hometown has been absolutely destroyed over the last 30 years by mass immigration.
“This will be your home soon, unless difficult action is taken.”

So far, the post has received over 391,000 views and over 12,000 likes.
The presence of the knife arches in St George’s has drawn a mixed reception from Harrow residents. Some have praised the action taken by Harrow police in the wake of serious crimes in the area, while others have expressed concern about the need for them in the first place.
Posting via Instagram, Harrow MPS said, “Safer Schools officers are in Harrow Town Centre this week operating knife arches. The knife arches will be positioned in difference places across the town centre this week. Officers will be engaging with members of the public and educating on knife crime.”
