Two people were arrested following an incident in Sudbury Croft, Wembley, this morning.
A police officer was bitten by a dog during the incident and taken to hospital.
A large police presence was reported in the area by members of Harrow Online shortly before 10am.
A spokesperson for the Met Police told Harrow Online: “At 09:54hrs on Wednesday, 1 January officers attended a property in Sudbury Croft, Wembley after concerns were raised for the wellbeing of a person believed to be inside.
“During the course of their enquiries, an officer was bitten by a dog. She has been taken to hospital with an injury to her arm. She is being supported by colleagues and we await a further update on her condition.
“Two people were arrested – a man on suspicion of common assault and a woman for being in charge of a dangerous dog.
“They remain in custody.”
