The southbound side of Headstone Drive, Harrow View, is blocked due to road works by Thames Water.
The works are expected to last until 22nd January. A notice states that the work may finish earlier if possible, but this cannot be guaranteed.
Routes affected include buses 223 and H14, with diversions in place via Headstone Gardens, Parkside Way, Station Road, and other nearby roads.
The closure is likely to affect people commuting and parents taking children to school when schools reopen next week following the Christmas holidays.
Drivers and bus passengers in Harrow that use this route are advised to plan alternative journeys.
