A man was found dead in Harrow Weald this morning (30 January), leading to the unexpected closure of the Brookshill Harrow College campus.
A spokesperson for Met Police said, “Police were called at about 06:30hrs on Thursday, 30 January to reports of a man, aged in his 50s, found deceased on Brookshill in Harrow.
Emergency services attended. His next of kin has been informed.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious.”
It is unclear whether the man was found within the college grounds, as this has not been officially confirmed.
A note on the college website says, “Our Harrow Weald campus is closed today (Thursday 30 January) for all staff and students. Harrow on the Hill campus is open, as usual, for staff to work from. Thank you and we apologise for the inconvenience. Harrow Weald campus will be open as usual on Friday 31 January.”
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 6.37am today (30 January) to reports of an incident on Brookshill, Harrow Weald.
“We sent a paramedic in a fast response car and an incident response officer to the scene.
“Very sadly, a man was found dead at the scene.”
