A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm (GBH) following a police incident in Ruislip High Street early this morning (1 February).
The road was closed in both directions after police were called at around 3:29am to reports of a stabbing.
A 24-year-old man suffered stab injuries, and a 28-year-old woman sustained a head injury. Both were treated at the scene before being taken to hospital.
Their injuries were later assessed as non-life-threatening or life-changing, and they have since been discharged.
London Ambulance Service (LAS) confirmed the response, saying: “We were called at 3.32am this morning (1 February) to reports of two injured people in the High Street, Ruislip.
“We sent two ambulance crews and a paramedic in a fast response car to the scene.
“We treated a man and a woman at the scene and took them to hospital as a priority.”
A crime scene remained in place throughout the morning, with a forensics van and two police cars spotted at the junction of Ruislip High Street and Kingsend, near Burger King. The incident also affected multiple bus routes, including the 278, 331, E7, H13, and U1.
Police issued a statement confirming:
“Police were called at around 03:29hrs on Saturday, 1 February to reports of a stabbing in High Street, Ruislip.
“Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended.
“A 24-year-old man with stab injuries and a 28-year-old woman with a head injury were taken to hospital. Both have now been discharged from hospital with injuries that were assessed as non-life-threatening or life-changing.
“Road closures were in place but have since been lifted.
“A 16-year-old boy has been arrested for conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm (GBH).
“Enquiries are ongoing; this was an isolated incident and the parties were known to each other.
“Officers are appealing to anyone with information to call 101 and quote CAD 990/01FEB. You can also provide information anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
The road has now fully reopened.
