Officers from Pinner South and North Harrow arrested a man who was wanted for failing to appear in court for two commercial burglaries. The arrest took place after he was also suspected of vehicle interference and had been involved in a shoplifting incident at a local Boots store.
Harrow MPS shared the update on social media, confirming that the man was taken to court and sentenced to 28 weeks in prison at Willesden Magistrates’ Court.
“At Willesden Magistrates’ Court, the male received a 28-week prison sentence for the burglaries and vehicle interference offences,” Harrow MPS stated.
In the UK, burglary can carry a prison sentence of up to 10 years for non-dwelling burglaries and up to 14 years for dwelling burglaries. Vehicle interference is an offence under the Criminal Attempts Act 1981 and can lead to fines or custodial sentences, depending on the circumstances.
Harrow MPS acknowledged the work of the officers involved, saying, “Amazing work by all officers involved.”
