Harrow Online is launching its first ever awards to recognise the best local businesses, organisations and eateries across the borough.
The Harrow Online Awards will be an annual event, with 100% of the voting carried out by the public. All voting will take place exclusively in the Harrow Online Facebook group, which now has nearly 50,000 members.
The first award category will be revealed soon, with the aim of giving local people the chance to support the businesses and venues they value most.

Founder of Harrow Online, Chris Mitchell, said: “We’ve been wanting to do something like this for a long time, and now feels like the right moment. Harrow is full of fantastic businesses, many of which are independently run and deeply rooted in the community.
“These awards are about giving people the opportunity to recognise and celebrate them in a fun and engaging way. What makes this different is that every single vote will come from the public — it’s completely community-led, which is what Harrow Online has always been about. The businesses that win these awards will know that they have been voted for by the people of Harrow and we look forward to sharing more info soon.”
The Harrow Online Awards are open to sponsorship, and the team is currently looking for partners to get involved. Anyone interested can contact info@harrowonline.org.
