A section of Bessborough Road in West Harrow has been closed in both directions this evening (26 March) following a collision near Kingsfield Road.
Emergency services rushed to the scene at around 7:15pm. As a result of the incident, the road has been cordoned off, affecting several nearby routes.
A member of Harrow Online at the scene said, “What I can see is West Street, Whitmore Road and down by Bessborough Avenue are taped off.”
Bus routes 395, H9 (northbound), H10 (southbound), and SL9 have all been affected by the closure, causing disruption to travel in the area.
Suggested diversions are in place from Northolt Road via Shaftesbury Avenue, Porlock Avenue, Treve Avenue, and Lascelles Avenue, with access back onto Bessborough Road.
Harrow Online has approached the London Ambulance Service and Metropolitan Police for an update. Further information will be shared as it becomes available.
Update: The cordons were lifted and roads reopened at around 11:45pm.
