A man has been arrested in Harrow after police recovered a quantity of cannabis and more than 20 large canisters of nitrous oxide.
Local officers were carrying out an operation when they noticed a grey Volkswagen Golf at the rear of an open-air car park. The vehicle had a single male occupant inside.
Officers approached the man and carried out a drugs search. During the search, they found cannabis and canisters of nitrous oxide, commonly known as ‘laughing gas’.
Nitrous oxide is a Class C drug in the UK and is often linked to anti-social behaviour.
The man was arrested for possession of both substances and the drugs were seized.
A spokesperson said this was an example of officers stopping the right people, in the right place, for the right reasons and helping to protect the local community.
