A hotel manager who worked at multiple locations across London – including in Wembley – has been jailed for rape and sexual assaults as police launch an appeal for further victim-survivors to come forward.
Ahmed Fahmy, 46, of West Heath Drive, Barnet, was sentenced to 13 years in prison at Harrow Crown Court, sitting at Hendon Magistrates’ Court, on Wednesday 23 April. He was found guilty of one count of rape and three counts of sexual assault.
The offences were committed between 2008 and 2024 while Fahmy was working in hotels across the capital. He has been placed on the sex offenders’ register and banned from working in the hospitality industry.
The Met Police believe there may be other victim-survivors who have not yet come forward.
Detective Constable James Gomm from the Metropolitan Police, who led the investigation, said: “Fahmy used manipulation to abuse his position as a hotel worker and get close to his victims. He demonstrated a clear pattern of offending and abuse.
“I would also like to commend the victim-survivors who have shared their experience to date for the bravery they have shown throughout the investigation and the court proceedings.
“We believe there may be other victims and I would encourage anyone affected to get in contact with us – you will be listened to and receive specialist support and guidance, not only from the police but independent charities and services.”

The Met’s investigation began in January this year after two women reported being raped and sexually assaulted while staying at a hotel in Barnet where Fahmy worked.
It was found that Fahmy had entered guest rooms without permission and made sexual advances. One of the women woke up to find him licking her feet. Another was coerced into sharing his room after returning from a night out without a key – she was then raped.
Further enquiries linked Fahmy to two non-recent sexual assaults. These included incidents at a hotel on Western Gateway in E16 and at a residential address in Alliance Close, Wembley.
Fahmy is confirmed to have worked at five locations:
- West Heath Drive, Barnet
- Royal Victoria Dock, E16
- Alliance Close, Wembley
- South Way, Wembley
- Bridge, Marlow
Detectives believe there could be other locations and are urging anyone who may have encountered Fahmy during his time working in hotels to come forward.
Victim-survivors are being encouraged to report online or contact the police by emailing: NWMailbox.Sapphire@met.police.uk – support will be provided.
Police have noted that some victims were visiting from outside of London, or even from abroad, and urge those individuals to get in touch regardless of their current location.
