People living in Northwick Park, Kenton and surrounding areas are being encouraged to take part in the upcoming Brent Connects forums — a chance for residents to discuss local issues directly with councillors and council officers.
There are five forums in total, each covering a different part of the borough. These include Harlesden, Kingsbury & Kenton, Kilburn, Wembley and Willesden.
Locals are invited to attend the meetings — either online or in person — to raise concerns, suggest ideas for improvements, and learn more about council services and community projects.
The meetings give people a chance to talk about the issues that matter most to them — whether it’s safety, housing, cleaner streets, or better community facilities.
The closest forum for residents in Harrow’s neighbouring areas like Kenton and Northwick Park is the Wembley Brent Connects, which takes place on 19 May from 6.30pm to 8.30pm at Brent Civic Centre, Engineers Way, HA9 0FJ. This forum covers wards including Alperton, Northwick Park, Preston, Sudbury, Tokyngton, Wembley Central, Wembley Hill and Wembley Park.
Another nearby session is the Kingsbury & Kenton Brent Connects, happening online on 8 May from 6pm to 8pm, covering Barnhill, Kenton, Kingsbury, Queensbury and Welsh Harp wards.
Councillor Jake Rubin, Cabinet Member for Climate Action and Community Power, said:
“Brent Connects are a vital set of local meetings for our communities to make change in their local area. In the past, residents have used the meetings to secure after-school sports sessions for Brent children, make their pavements safer and get more community policing in their area. Come along to meet your neighbours and local Councillors and make your voice heard.”
Topics discussed at the forums will vary depending on the area’s specific needs and priorities, and all residents are welcome to join.
