London Road in Stanmore was closed westbound for nearly four hours today after a road traffic collision earlier this afternoon.
The closure was in place at the junction with Morecambe Gardens.
The incident, which happened at around 2:30pm, caused significant disruption, particularly to routes heading towards Stanmore Station.
Bus routes 142 and 324 were diverted.
Transport services continue to be affected, and drivers were advised to avoid the area. The road reopened at around 6:30pm.
