Three men have been arrested in connection with a series of burglaries across northwest London.
The arrests took place on Saturday 26th April after officers linked the group to around eight burglaries believed to have taken place between the 24th and 25th of April.
According to police, the vehicle involved had been stolen during a burglary in Surrey and was later seen driving dangerously, overtaking cars and driving on the wrong side of the road at excessive speed. Officers deployed a stinger and intercepted the vehicle.
One of the suspects fled the scene on foot and was found hiding in a nearby block of flats. The other two men were arrested at the scene.
Inside the vehicle, officers discovered jewellery, screwdrivers and property believed to have been stolen during a burglary in Golders Green, Barnet.
A police spokesperson said: “These arrests highlight the ongoing commitment to protect the community and apprehend those involved in criminal activity. Local residents can be reassured that officers are dedicated to tackling crime and ensuring the safety of their communities.”
