A restaurant near Rayners Lane station has been given a zero food hygiene rating following an inspection late last year.
Jalaram Virpur Dham, located at 242 Imperial Drive, received the lowest possible rating after a visit by food safety officers on 7 November 2024.
The inspection found that major improvement was necessary in two key areas – hygienic food handling and the cleanliness and condition of the facilities.
Inspectors found that ‘urgent improvement’ was also required in the management of food safety, which includes staff training and the systems in place to ensure food is safe to eat.
