Armed police were seen on Aberdeen Road in Wealdstone on Monday afternoon (12 May), prompting concern from local residents.
Multiple members of Harrow Online reported seeing officers dressed in black uniforms, and masks at the scene shortly before 4pm. A number of marked and unmarked police vehicles were also spotted parked on the street.
A sniffer dog was present, and at least five police vehicles were seen responding without sirens. One Harrow Online member said, “Three unmarked police cars and two marked police cars with no sirens on, going through traffic heading from Harrow Weald to Belmont.”
A text message alerting people to the situation was shared on WhatsApp. An arrest is believed to have been made, although this has not been officially confirmed.
Harrow Online has contacted the Metropolitan Police for further information.
