A restaurant in Harrow has been given a one-star food hygiene rating following a recent inspection.
Toro’s Steakhouse, located at 190 Station Road, received the low score after a visit from food safety officers on 16 January 2025.
The report identified several areas in need of improvement. Inspectors rated both hygienic food handling and the cleanliness and condition of the premises as requiring improvement. The management of food safety was rated as needing major improvement.
A spokesperson Toro’s Steakhouse said, “The main reason we were given a 1 star rating was due to a basement water pipe issue which had nothing to do with the restaurant, however because it was in the building we were unfortunately given a 1 star.
“Please note all necessary works were carried out immediately and we are just awaiting for the officer to come and reinspect to give us our new rating.”
They added, “We need to wait 3 months before the officer can revisit and we should be getting our new rating anytime this month.”
