A supermarket in Wealdstone has been given a one-star food hygiene rating following a recent inspection by Harrow Council.
Harrow Food Centre Ltd, located at 16–18 Headstone Drive in Wealdstone, was inspected on 17 March 2025. The business was rated 1 out of 5, meaning “major improvement necessary” under the Food Standards Agency’s hygiene rating scheme.
The inspection found that improvements were necessary in two areas: hygienic food handling, and cleanliness and condition of the facilities and building. The third area, management of food safety, was rated as requiring major improvement.
The rating reflects the findings at the time of inspection and covers how food is handled, the condition and cleanliness of the premises, and how food safety is managed.
Businesses that receive low scores can request a re-inspection once improvements have been made.
Harrow Online has contacted the management for comment.
