A teenager from Harrow has been sentenced to life in prison for the murder of 36-year-old Tyrone Pinnock in Brent, following a police investigation by the Metropolitan Police.
Kevin Kelenda, 18, of Kenton Park Crescent, Harrow, was sentenced on Monday, 19 May at Wood Green Crown Court to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 17 years.
He also received an 18-month detention and training order for possession of a pointed and bladed article.
The incident happened on Thursday, 19 October 2023. At 6:42pm, a police car was flagged down by a member of the public who had discovered Tyrone with stab injuries on Kensal Road, W10.
Officers administered first aid and called for paramedics from the London Ambulance Service, but Tyrone sadly died at the scene.

A murder investigation was launched, and forensic evidence along with CCTV analysis led detectives to identify Kelenda as the suspect. The court heard that Kelenda was seen on Kensal Rise before following and confronting Tyrone. Officers were able to prove that he used a lock knife to stab Tyrone in the chest. The motive remains unclear.
Detective Chief Inspector Phil Clarke, who led the investigation, said: “Tyrone was killed in a brutal cold-blooded assault which lasted seconds, but was so severe he died at the scene.
“Our thoughts remain as always with Tyrone’s friends and family as they move forward with their lives, safe in the knowledge that Kelenda is behind bars where he belongs.”
Kelenda was arrested on Wednesday, 25 October 2023 and charged two days later. He was found guilty of murder on Friday, 28 March and had previously pleaded guilty to possession of a knife on Friday, 13 December.
Tyrone’s family continue to be supported by specially trained officers.
