Wealdstone officers have continued to intensify efforts to tackle gang violence and drug dealing in Wealdstone.
In a follow up to our previous story, on Friday 9th May, officers were conducting targeted patrols outside Harrow and Wealdstone station. This was due to an “increase in information” provided by members of the public that there had been drug dealers seen operating around the station.
While on patrol, officers noticed a male acting suspiciously, who attempted to make off on seeing officers approach. Officers managed to detain the suspect, who was found to be in possession of a large zombie style knife.
As a result of this discovery the male was arrested for possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and possession of class B drugs. The suspect has been charged and remanded to court for both offences.
On May 13th, officers were conducting targeted patrols following reports from local residents of suspected drug dealing in the area. During their patrol, they noticed two individuals acting suspiciously and appearing to be involved in a drug deal. Officers ran over and apprehended both males. As a result, one male was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs. He has been bailed pending further police enquiries
Acting Sergeant, Alex Rose said, “Wealdstone SNT will continue to target offending that affects the residents of Harrow. Both arrests highlight the importance of reporting suspicious activity to your local SNT team.”
