A much-loved party shop in Stanmore has closed its doors after 28 years of trading.
Balloon and Party, located on Stanmore Broadway, officially shut on Saturday, 17 March 2025. The announcement was made by the owner in the Stanmore Facebook group, where he thanked the local community for their support over the years.
The shop, which opened in 1997, became a staple on the high street and played a part in countless celebrations including birthdays, weddings, and anniversaries.
Although the physical shop has now closed, the business will continue to operate online from January 2026.
Balloon orders will still be available, and a new website is currently being developed. Customers can continue to get in touch via phone, email, or social media.
The owner also confirmed that he plans to remain active in the Stanmore community, including work with local festive events.
