Ealing Council has issued an urgent warning following the deaths of two people in Southall over the Bank Holiday weekend, believed to be linked to unidentified blue pills circulating in the area.
The council stated today (Tuesday 27 May 2025): “Ealing Council is today issuing a warning about blue pills that may be circulating in the Southall area of the borough, which could cause harm to people who take them.”
The two individuals who died had taken the same unidentified pill and were reportedly together in Southall at the time.
In the public notice, the council warned: “Please remember, there is no way of knowing what is in any pill or drug that is bought illegally, or how your body will react.”
They added: “If you, or anyone you are with, starts to feel unwell after taking any pill or drug, go to your nearest Accident and Emergency department or call 999. Always seek medical attention and do not try to sleep it off or drink lots of water.”
Residents are encouraged to stay alert and to share this warning, particularly with young people and those who may be at risk. For more information on drugs and how to stay safe, visit Talk to Frank.
