Christchurch Avenue in Wealdstone was closed in both directions on Wednesday morning (5 June) following a collision at the junction with Forward Drive.
The incident happened shortly before 8am. Witnesses told Harrow Online that someone was seen lying on the ground after the collision. Emergency services, including the London Ambulance Service and Met Police, attended the scene.
A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 7.39am today (5 June) to reports of a road traffic collision on Christchurch Avenue, Harrow.
“We sent an ambulance crew to the scene and treated a woman before taking her to hospital.”
The road was shut at Kenmore Avenue for about an hour, causing heavy traffic in the surrounding area. Drivers were urged to avoid the area while the road remained closed.
Bus routes H9 and H10 were temporarily diverted via Kenton Lane, Locket Road and High Street before rejoining their normal route towards Northwick Park Hospital.
The road fully reopened at around 9am.
