A shop near Cricklewood has been hit with a hefty fine after pleading guilty to four offences related to the possession of illegal tobacco.
Ever Rose Express, based in Willesden, admitted to the offences and has been ordered to pay a total of £4,300 within 14 days. This includes a £2,000 fine, an £800 victim surcharge, and £1,500 in costs.
The case was brought by Brent Council’s Trading Standards team as part of their ongoing efforts to tackle the sale of illegal cigarettes in the borough.

Councillor Krupa Sheth, Cabinet Member for Environment and Enforcement, said: “It is so important as we enter a smoke free generation, that tobacco controls are complied with and I am so happy with the Trading Standards team for making sure that these illegal cigarettes are not being sold in Brent.”
The council is continuing to crack down on illegal tobacco sales to help protect public health and ensure local retailers are trading legally.
