Residents are being encouraged to nominate individuals and teams for the 2025 Harrow’s Heroes Awards, which return this September to celebrate the people who make a difference in the borough.
The annual awards recognise the hard work and dedication of those who live or work in Harrow, or who provide services for local residents. Whether it’s a neighbour lending a hand or a team going above and beyond for the community, the awards shine a light on the positive contributions that often go unnoticed.
Cllr Janet Mote, cabinet member for community and culture, said: “Everyone knows a local hero. We want to hear about the amazing things they do in our borough. Among your neighbours, diverse community and friends, there is probably someone you know who makes a difference. So please nominate your heroes this year’s awards.

“Every year I am moved and inspired by the nominations received. Harrow’s Heroes celebrates the best of Harrow and is our way of saying thank you to those making a real difference. I look forward to seeing your nomination and celebrating later in the year.”
This year’s awards will be especially significant as Harrow marks its 60th anniversary as a London borough. Categories, including the lifelong achievement award, will reflect this milestone.
The awards are funded entirely through sponsorship, with this year’s headline sponsors confirmed as Wates Residential and Imperium Resourcing.
Nominations are open until Friday 25th July 2025. Anyone living or working in Harrow – or serving Harrow residents – can be nominated, provided they are not a councillor, a previous winner, or someone who was nominated in the past two years.
To submit a nomination, visit Harrow Council’s website.
