Staff at Northwick Park Hospital, along with colleagues at Central Middlesex and Ealing Hospitals, are now wearing newly standardised uniforms following a national NHS roll-out.
The changes are aimed at making it easier for patients and staff to identify healthcare professionals by their roles. Each specialism is now represented by a different colour, helping to improve clarity and communication across hospital wards.
The ‘core colour’ groups include Allied Healthcare Professionals (ruby and white), Healthcare Science (teal), Nursing and Midwifery (blue), heads of department (black), and Pharmacy (green).
It is the first time pharmacists have been required to wear a clinical uniform at the trust.
More than 5,000 new uniforms have been issued across the three hospitals. Each staff member has received three sets of uniforms to support the change.
The trust says the new look is part of wider efforts to improve patient experience and professional visibility across its hospital sites.
