Detectives are appealing for help to identify a woman who sadly died on the railway near Tottenham Hale earlier this year.
At around 5am on Thursday 13 March, British Transport Police were called to the tracks near Tottenham Hale Underground Station following reports of a casualty on the line. A woman was later found and pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident is not being treated as suspicious. Despite extensive enquiries, officers have been unable to confirm the woman’s identity or locate her family.
British Transport Police said: “The woman was wearing a jacket with patches on (pictured) and black tracksuit trousers, she had a set of keys on her and £3.80 in loose change.”
An artist’s impression of the woman has been released to help identify her. She is described as white, of slight build, with short black hair. Officers believe she was aged between 35 and 55 years old.
BTP added: “Anyone with information, or anyone who is concerned about a person from this area, or recognises the jacket or artist impression is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 81 of 13 March.”
