A yellow weather warning has been issued for Harrow and across Greater London, with thunderstorms expected to hit from Friday afternoon.
Temperatures are set to soar today with highs of 28 degrees expected at peak times. This has led to a warning being put in place for the risk of thunderstorms for 48 hours.
The Met Office says the warning comes into effect from 3pm on Friday 13 June and will last until 6am on Saturday morning.
Heavy rain, thunder and lightning could cause some disruption across the area, especially during Friday evening and overnight into Saturday. People are being advised to take extra care if they’re heading out or travelling during that time.
The warning was issued on Wednesday morning, and it’s part of the Met Office’s system to alert people when severe weather is likely to have an impact.
As always, it’s worth keeping an eye on updates and being prepared for possible delays or localised flooding.
