A second knife amnesty bin has been installed in Harrow as part of efforts to reduce knife crime and keep dangerous weapons off the streets.
The new bin has been placed at Lowlands Recreation Ground, near Harrow College in the town centre. It joins the existing knife bin located at the side of Wealdstone Methodist Church on Montrose Road, close to Locket Road.
Knife amnesty bins allow people to safely and anonymously dispose of knives without fear of prosecution. The aim is to prevent knives from being used in crime or to cause harm in the community.

Similar initiatives have already been rolled out in nearby areas. Last year, new knife bins were introduced across Brent, including Wembley, in partnership with the Raheem Sterling Foundation and Word 4 Weapons. Those bins also offer information about education, employment, and social mobility opportunities to help tackle the causes of youth violence.
The Harrow bins are part of wider efforts to make the borough safer and give residents peace of mind.
