Detectives have released CCTV footage of a man they want to trace after a woman was sexually assaulted in Park Road, Ealing.
The incident happened at around 11:50pm on Wednesday, 21 May. A woman in her 20s reported that she was followed and attacked after getting off the E1 bus, which runs between Ealing Broadway Station and Greenford Broadway.
Police said the man first sexually assaulted the woman as the bus approached Browning Avenue, W7. He then got off and followed her down Park Road, where he assaulted her again.
The man was later seen on CCTV running north on Park Road towards Browning Avenue and the E1 bus stop.
He is described as Black, in his late 20s or early 30s, about 5ft 11in tall, with a slim build and dark curly hair. He was wearing a black jacket and a navy blue Nike t-shirt.
Detective Constable Teresa Moore, who is leading the Met’s investigation, said:
“Women and girls should be safe to travel on public transport – and walk the streets of London – without being attacked.
“This incident highlights the opportunistic behaviour of the offender so it is really important we locate him as soon as possible.”
Anyone who was on the E1 bus on Wednesday, 21 May between 11:45pm and 11:58pm, or who has any information, is asked to call 101 and quote 697/21MAY.
