Budgens on Kenton Road in Harrow has been told that major improvement is necessary following a recent food hygiene inspection.
The store, based at 131-133 Kenton Road, was inspected by a food safety officer on 29 May 2025. It received mixed results across three key areas of food hygiene.
While the cleanliness and condition of the facilities were rated as very good, hygienic food handling was found to require some improvement. However, the most serious concern was around the management of food safety, which was marked as needing major improvement.
This part of the inspection covers whether the correct systems and checks are in place to keep food safe, staff knowledge of food safety, and whether the inspector is confident that standards will be maintained in the future.
Budgens stores operate under a franchise model. This means individual stores, like the one on Kenton Road, are independently owned and run by local retailers.
Harrow Online has contacted the store for comments and will provide updates as soon as more information becomes available.
