There are now just two weeks left to nominate someone for this year’s Harrow’s Heroes Awards, with the deadline set for Friday 25 July.
The awards return this September to celebrate the people who go the extra mile to support others and make a difference in the local community.
This year’s event will be especially meaningful as it coincides with the 60th anniversary of Harrow becoming a London borough. Several award categories – including the Lifelong Achievement Award – reflect this milestone.
Anyone who lives or works in Harrow, or supports Harrow residents, can be nominated. The only exceptions are councillors, previous winners, or anyone who has been nominated in the last two years.
This could be a volunteer at a local food bank, a neighbour who supports elderly residents, a teacher who goes the extra mile, or someone helping make their community safer – but nominations are not limited to these examples.
The awards are fully funded through sponsorship, with Wates Residential and Imperium Resourcing named as this year’s headline sponsors.
Nominations can be submitted via the Harrow Council website.
