A number of roadworks are taking place across Harrow and the surrounding areas starting today (Friday 11 July), with some expected to last into next week.
Transport for London and local councils have confirmed a mix of maintenance works, upgrades and utility repairs in several boroughs including Harrow, Brent, Barnet, Hillingdon and Ealing.
In Harrow, roads affected include:
- All Saints Mews, Harrow Weald – Work by Openreach is set to run from 11 to 15 July. No delays expected.
- Eastleigh Avenue, South Harrow – Work in the carriageway between 11 and 15 July. Minor delays possible.
- Boniface Walk, Baslow Close, and Charles Crescent – Openreach work in Harrow Weald.
- Aylwards Rise, Stanmore – Cadent is doing work until 15 July. Delays unlikely.
- Fallowfield, Stanmore – Harrow Council is planning works here.
- Grange Gardens, Pinner – Work planned from 12 to 16 July.
- Ellement Close, Pinner – Scheduled from 11 to 15 July.
Nearby areas with delays likely:
- Preston Road & First Way, Wembley (Brent) – Lane closures and temporary signals from 12 to 14 July for essential works by Affinity Water.
- Perryfield Way (Barnet) – Emergency road closure in place until 17 July.
- Crescent Road and Cricklewood Broadway (Barnet) – Traffic controls and lane closures between 11 and 15 July.
- Capitol Way, Carlton Avenue East & Elmstead Avenue, Wembley – Minor roadworks by Virgin Media and Openreach.
- Bridge Way, Ickenham (Hillingdon) – Thames Water is carrying out work today only.
- Bedser Drive, Greenford (Ealing) – Minor works running until 15 July.
- Bourne End Road, Northwood (Herts) – Work by UK Power Networks until 15 July.
- Dovecot Close, Eastcote & Greystoke Drive, Ruislip (Hillingdon) – Openreach works expected this week.
Most of these jobs are routine maintenance or utility upgrades. While many won’t cause major disruption, drivers may want to plan ahead, especially in areas where road closures or lane restrictions are in place.
