A supermarket in Harrow Town Centre has been told it must make major improvements following a recent food hygiene inspection.
Northwest Market, based at 293–295 Station Road, was inspected by a food safety officer on 21 March 2025.
The inspection assessed the business across three key areas and found that both hygienic food handling and the cleanliness and condition of the facilities required improvement.
The most serious concern was in the management of food safety, which was rated as requiring major improvement.
This area includes having proper systems in place to ensure food is safe to eat, staff awareness of food hygiene standards, and the inspector’s confidence that those standards can be maintained in the future.
The business remains open.
