A man has been arrested on Wealdstone High Street following a robbery at the Boots store on Tuesday, 15 July.
Officers from Wealdstone Safer Neighbourhoods Team (SNT) were on foot patrol when they were flagged down by the store manager, who reported that a robbery had just taken place.
It was alleged that the suspect entered the shop armed with two large rocks, threatened staff, and smashed the locked fragrance cabinets before stealing over £600 worth of goods and fleeing the store.
Officers began sweeping the High Street to locate the suspect. A member of the public then alerted them to a possible sighting further down the road. PC Scotto Di Covella and PCSO Rauf attended the location and successfully detained and arrested the suspect for robbery and criminal damage. All stolen items were recovered.
Acting Sergeant Alex Rose said: “Wealdstone SNT will continue to tackle those that target residents and businesses of Wealdstone.”
