Biryani World, a takeaway shop based at Unit 11 in South Harrow Market, has been given a food hygiene rating of 2 out of 5 following a recent inspection last month.
The visit, carried out by a food safety officer on 19 June 2025, found that improvements are necessary in some areas of the business.
While the takeaway was rated “generally satisfactory” for hygienic food handling and food safety management, inspectors said the cleanliness and condition of the facilities needed attention. This element of the inspection can include the layout, ventilation, hand washing stations, and pest control measures.
The food hygiene rating scheme is used by local councils to monitor how well food businesses are following safety regulations.
A rating of 2 means that improvement is needed to meet acceptable standards.
