Two local WH Smith branches have rebranded following the sale of the company’s high street business.
The shops on Bridge Street in Pinner and inside St Anns Shopping Centre in Harrow Town Centre are now trading as TG Jones. Both stores will continue to offer the same range of products and services, including stationery, books, toys and postal services.
The change comes after WH Smith sold its UK high street chain to Modella Capital, the owner of Hobbycraft, in a deal reportedly worth £76 million. The rebrand to TG Jones applies only to high street shops, with WH Smith’s travel outlets in airports and train stations unaffected by the sale.
Harrow Town Centre’s BID team confirmed the update in a social media post, saying:
“Have you seen our WH Smith has rebranded to TGJones in St. Anns Shopping Centre?
“You can still find all the books, toys and stationery items you love as well as the post office.”
