Police sealed off part of Greenford yesterday after bones were found in a burned-out bin.
The discovery was made in Green Park Way at around 4.10pm on Wednesday, 30 July. A cordon was quickly put in place while forensic officers searched the area.
Video footage shared online shows officers removing bones from the bin and placing them on the ground nearby. Tests are now being carried out to confirm where the bones came from.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Officers attended and an investigation is underway.
“Tests are currently being taken to establish the origin of the bones, but they are believed to be animal at this early stage.
“A police cordon remains in place.”
The area was still taped off the following day as enquiries continued.
