Many residents have noticed that KFC in Harrow Weald has shut its doors in recent days, with numerous members of the Harrow Online community asking what is happening to the popular branch.
We can confirm that the restaurant is not closing permanently but is instead undergoing refurbishment. The work is part of a wider upgrade programme across the UK and Ireland.
A KFC spokesperson said: “Fried chicken fans, fear not! Your Harrow Weald restaurant is getting a glow-up and will be back open very soon. While we’re finessing the finishing touches, you can still get your hands on our finger lickin’ chicken at our Harrow St Ann’s Shopping Centre restaurant or through delivery platforms.”
The branch will reopen on 15 August with a new food counter and improved facilities.
KFC is investing £1.49 billion into upgrading hundreds of its restaurants over the next five years, aiming to introduce fresh designs and digital updates to improve the experience for both customers and staff.
